Dan Cummins is a guy whose story fascinates me. He started a church in a cattle sale barn in Bullard, Texas, with eight people, which now meets in a storefront with about sixty.  Yet he has the vision and courage to call his Congressman Louie Gohmert and organize a prayer event in Statuary Hall in the Capitol of the United States, something that we are told has not been done in 100 years!

I was honored that he asked me to speak at that historic gathering.  His vision for America is inspirational.  I am thrilled to recommend The Church: In a State of Separation to every patriotic believer.

Dan provides the enlightened Christian a firm theological platform and biblical worldview from which to exercise their political – spell that b-i-b-l-i-c-a-l – activism. He has identified many of the factors contributing to the deafening silence resonating from America’s pulpits and what should be done to reverse the tide. I am happy to be his friend and endorse this work.  He is remarkable.  May we have many more just like him!”

The Church: In a State of Separation by Dan Cummins should deeply resonate with all those who will take to heart the message conveyed. America is at a critical juncture and crossroads. Sadly, too many have been lulled to sleep in apathy and lethargy. Rather, it is a time when we should quit pushing our snooze buttons and awaken from our slumber.

The late A.W. Tozer, in his article on “The Gift of Prophetic Insight” said; “What God says to the Church at any given time period depends altogether upon her moral and spiritual condition… Religious leaders who continue to mechanically expound the Scriptures without regard to the current religious situation are no better than the scribes and lawyers of Jesus’ day who faithfully parroted the Law without the remotest notion of what was going on around them spiritually… The prophets never made that mistake nor wasted their efforts in that manner. They invariably spoke to the condition of the people of their times.”

Dan Cummins is one of those courageous voices giving a clarion call regarding the serious condition and battle for the heart of the Church and the very soul of our Nation. Like in the days of Samuel, it seems the lamp of the Lord is growing dim. Prayerfully, this book will provoke us to refill our lamps with oil so that our light would again shine brightly in the land.

Dan Cummins has written an electric expose’ on why America is in a state of moral decay. From the first paragraph through the final summation of The Church: In a State of Separation, Dan elicits a dramatic response from anyone who reads this book. Not only does he bring the facts of our history together to expose the plot that defames the contemporary Church but he pushes every rational button to bring a case for what the Church must do to regain its status.

If Christians read this work, watch out! The reaction will create a rhythm of activity that could blow out the fires of humanism and socialism in our country for generations to come!

Dan Cummins is a modern-day son of Issachar, who understands the times (1 Chronicles 12:32).  He has written an important book that will challenge your thinking and, if you let it, touch your heart. May we move from a state of separation — from our spiritual heritage and God’s purpose for America — to a place of united prayer and courageous preaching.

Our nation is facing a radical change in how we view our religious heritage – one that violates the true history of our nation. Secularists have distorted the original intent of our founding fathers first amendment religious protection. They have included in the Constitution a concept that is not there, separation of church and state. Dan Cummins tackles this misrepresentation head on. He articulates the original intent and defines for Christians their role as salt and light in the public square.

Dan Cummins’ inspiring book calls the Body of Christ to new levels of intercession for our nation.  He gives us historical and covenantal ground on which to stand so we can cry out to God with confidence and see our nation restored to the vision of our Founding Fathers. This work destroys myths, releases essential truths and issues a powerful call to the Church everywhere! For the church it is reformational; for the nation it is transformational.
